05/09/2001 - Printing to an IP address from Windows NT/2K
Most print devices on IP networks support printing using LPR. To set this up, use the Add Printer wizard, and choose 'Local Printer'. Click next, and choose to create a new port of type: Standard TCP/IP. Click next and type the IP address of the printer. For the port name, choose 'text' for plain text printing, or 'raw', or possibly 'print' depending on the device (passthru is also used on some printers) for graphics printing.
